Some back story about the joint. Man listen i saved this beat for years. It was the type beat that no matter who i played it for heads would be like DAMN. Writing to it was a bitch cause it's such an emotional sounding beat that it had to be a subject that heads could feel. We did'nt try and go the typical route so we picked the subject of moving around a lot and introverting. It's real. People go through it. We went through it. So fuck it we rocked out about that. It's a flip side to this one song on the album called "Chase the wind". The whole album is a complete experirence and when you hear how this song fits into the whole spectrum of the album you'll understand. We didn't strive to make a "SINGLE" it just was the joint we felt would be a good joint to put out. Something cool to balnce all the blood thirsty crazy shit on the album ( Oh yes, THERE WILL BE BLOOD )

Aight we got the official leak from the album out. We put out the "Marsha Brady" track a while back to get heads tweaking off a little taste of the album and now we got the leak for heads. The album is about 3/4 done at this point. Just a few more vocals left and the final mixdown then BOOM we putting it out. I gotta give XTRA props to Cyclops cause he's a real dude. He says he gonna do something and HE DOE IT. No excuses or cop outs. His work ethic really matches mine and he goes in hard on this album.

"MINE" is a joint that we put out to hold heads over and so far the response to it has been nuts. We dont have any label behind us so we doing all our own leg work as always but even though we in the struggle heads are showing us love for it. The biggest compliment was when i sent AG from DITC ( If you dont know who that is, KILL YOURSELF ) a link to the song and he actually Retwetted it on his page. I was bugging the fuck out cause he's someone i grew up listening to and a certified legend and for him to show heads love like that was BONKERS. Sonically it's a heavy hip hop sounding joint. Very raw and hardcore. Cyclops did the hook and killed his verses ( Dude came up with the idea of calling Money MOLD, as in green bread WTF!!! ) and i wrote mine to finish off the track. We got a couple of blogs to post it and so far heads have been showing love. Thats what's good.

We got the OFFICIAL single we gonna drop in a minute to lead up to the album. In the mean time check for this joint and spread the word.

The making of The Plexiglass Fountain album. Part 2

Salut. Aight at this point, we are 5 solid joints into the album. It's been crazy to see the concepts start to flesh out into actual songs. I've been in crazy writing mode. This album has my best delivery and writing by far.

The good thing about being in a group is seeing the point of view of another cat on a topic. We got this joint called "what i'm after is....." where we break down a part of life crazy. Fam went in hard on that one. On this other track tentatively called "Rational Geographic" Cyclops went APESHIT. He blacked out on the beat in a wild way. I was hype as fuck when i got the vocals from him.

I woke up today and laid down some vocals for the intro song. I'm bout to go in and fix up one of the songs for cyclops to spazz out over. More updates coming soon.

On a side note. Cyclops just finished up an album with dude. Half Centric ( shit is sounding crazy from what i heard ) check it out on his myspace page. My dude Rasheed Chapppell just sent me the first track off our collaboration EP. The track is called "connect Thought" and it is a MONSTER!!!!!!

The Plexiglass Fountain is Tokyo Cigar a.k.a Akira Parker and Cyclops a.k.a. Caliber X

It's official we started the album on september 18th 2009 ( well we actually started when we recorded "Marsha Brady" but you know how it goes ) We spoke for a minute about the concepts for the album. I've done all the beats already and Cyclops is feeling everything.

I think this joint will be one of my production benchmarks. It felt great to hear Cyclops say that cats have never heard production like that before. I promise your favorite producer will hate me when they hear the album LOL Seriously though i cant wait to hit heads with this joint. I really hope y'all feel it. I'm gonna cook something special up for the cover and i'm actually gonna promote this joint. You know me. I just make music and put it out for y'all cause i'm addicted to making music ( i hope there's some kind of medication for that cause sometimes it gets crazy ) but with this i'm really gonna make an effort to give you something special.

Cyclops is my dude and i love his style. His visuals are crazy insane and i myself am waiting to hear what he's gonna bring to the table with this. We have another track just about done and i can see him stepping his game up crazy already. Cats have no idea what we about to hit em with.

Yo me and my man GC just laced the Cave Kingz EP ( i dont know where i get all these dope names from, It's a gift ) The EP is called "before there was fire...." GC on the beats ( whut up homie )and Me on the mic. GC been my mans for YEARS. We actually have done mad basement tapes back in the days and all that ( blunts, music and take out from the chinise food spot on his old block in Silver Spring GOOD TIMES!!!!! )Heads got some crazy response to it. Kevin wants to put out the album on Hipnott ( YAYYY!!! ) Shit is some GRIMY ill hip hop. I gotta admit that my rhyme skills have boosted like a mutha. I rhyme better than ever now and the Cave Kingz EP is a great indicator of my style now. I'm bout to get back into doing shows. Suckas be acting like i was'nt rhyming every week at Tru skool or something. Shout out Enoch, i just bumped into him and Watuzi a few weeks ago in DC. I aint retire, i just took a sabatical. Production is still my life but i gotta knock out this rap shit too. ( i got A LOT of shit to say )

What it do?

Whut up. Just wanted to drop in and update cats on the dealings and proceedings. Been busy as fuck. Helping my moms set up her new business, working on the Ivy league EP, sending beats to Mercy, working on my Akira Parker project and been blessing mad verses for cats. Been writing like hell. I swear if all this work dont pay off I'm spazzing on EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY.

Wu tang been dropping some raw new shit lately ( "Evil deeds" is another testament as to why Ghostface will never be matched when it comes to delivery ) That's a great look.

Marvel chess set.

I geeked out when i found out abbout this. Playing chess with marvel cats?!? I went nuts. I liked the breakdown of the pieces/characters. I also found out they have Batman joints too. I know i'm mad late about this but whatever duke. This is too fly for words.

Batman/Grendel

Hitting up the Library for graphic novels is my new thing. I recently got back into comics and i found out there's a lot i gotta catch up on. I wanted to share my thoughts about his joint with yall. It's a very well written crossover by Matt Wagner. He created the villian Grendel and then took a stab at mixng the character into Batmans world. I got the TPB and found out it was actually 2 stories.

The first features Grendel pulling off a hiest in a museum. It revolves around two chicks and their relationships with Batman and Gredel in the story. The story itself is well written. ( it took me a little while to figure out who's perspective i was reading at first ) I like how he interlocked all the characters thoughts and moved the story along. The artwork was crazy as hell too. It paid a lot of homage to THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS in terms of style ( especially the little TV panels ) but added new ideas into the pot.

The second has a lot more action. It features a cyborg version of Grendel fighthing Batman. While the first focussed more on the thoughts of the characters, this one features more straight up fights. Batman actually gets his ass beat a lot in this joint. Robin also make a cameo ( whut up tim ) I prefer the first story but this was not bad. It even updates the characters from the first story. ( it takes place a few years in the future of Batmans last encounter with Grendel )

This joint was fly as hell. Well worth reading.

By the way BRUCE WAYNE IS BATMAN ( sorry Nightwing )

Growing up i was always the sort of kid that really wanted to have my own Mech type suit. I was a heavy Voltron and Transformers cat ( in the animated movie when daniel had the suit to go to Cybertron and it could transform i went NUTS!!!! ) My boy showed me this joint and i was like whaaaaat. All i want is the real life Iron man suit and i'm good.

I made this album after seeing a CRAZY interview with Diddy ( the best one i've ever seen from him ) He really dropped knowledge about making an album here. The interviewer spoke with him bout making Ready to Die with Biggie. The Jewels are in THE DETAILS people.

I based my album around parts of the interview and used that as the theme of the project.

All producers need to check this joint out ( especially in this era of singles and ringtones ) cause cats need to go back to making FULL ALBUMS. ( remember when Side A AND side B had to knock for the album to be considered good? )

Hi Haters i'm back off hiatus

Wow. Bullshiting really is a full time job. I actaully forgot i had a blog. To my 2 followers sorry bout not keeping up with this.

Well, since we last spoke i put out more remix albums ( finally did one for wu ), did sample based projects using Depeche mode and the beatles white album ( whut up Danger mouse i see you ),got placements on the Soul movement fam remix album and Illtravis, linked up with a MC from chi town that i'm doing an album for and finally got a manager. The Soul movement fam joint is out right now ( i did the "new wave" remix by notion and Whisper ) and i'm waiting to hear what Trav does with the beat he picked.

Dutch and i also finished the black tobacco album. That shit came out sick as hell. Probably the best i've ever spit on the mic. Dutch came extra chunky with the beats too.

I'm so used to constantly working on stuff that i dont really focus on promoting it when it's done. In '09 i'm trying to limit the stuff i put out and actually promote the shit i get done. ( and keep up with my muthafuckin blog )

I also quit smoking ( YAYYYYY!!! ), but i've quit 5 times in 2 months ( BOOOOOO!!! ) Matter of fact i'm typing this with an almost empty pack in my pocket. One day i'm gonna get it right and stop the lung abuse.

I was trying to get up with some singers to collaborate with but cats are fronting hard. I'm doing the MZM album with my sister but it takes her forever to write shit. I did an albums worth of beats for the project but we only have 2 actual songs done. Check out the myspace to hear it.

I got 2 other moves i'm working on but i'm gonna keep them on the low till i actually make moves with them.

I also hit 30 in Febuary. ( WHOAAAAAA ) Even though i'm crazy hardbody and in the best shape of my life i'm coping with the frequent panic attacks that comes with the realization that due to personal RETARDEDNESS and being surrounded by idots in life i have'nt really realized my full potential yet. I'm not gonna quit though, cause the amount of people that still root for me to make it would beat my ass up something brutal.
